Gifts from the Public

Thank you, District 51 Donors!

Grand Valley public schools receive a good deal of support from generous community members and businesses. Gifts to the school district include such things as money for teaching supplies and materials, extra technology for the classrooms, landscaping and facility improvements, athletic equipment and many others. These gifts represent contributions that enhance our children's education but fall outside the normal operating budget of the district.

The Board of Education appreciates the generosity of community members who donate to Mesa County School District 51, and publicly recognizes each individual and/or business at their monthly Business Meeting. Gifts from the public are part of the Consent Agenda. Documents listing Gifts from the Public can be found with Board Documents or Minutes of the Business Meeting where it was presented.

Donation of Technology Equipment

In the past, the School District has readily accepted computers, monitors and printers as well as other technology equipment from public and private donors, given that they met minimum district standards. With the new computer replacement program implemented in the district to create a standard environment throughout the district, we can no longer accept donations of computers.

We are able to accept some types of technology equipment such as printers, projectors, etc. with prior approval from Technology.
